The new organization will work together with the Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation to provide support and relief to Israeli orphans who lost parents on October 7
April 18th, 2024; Miami; TelAviv: The Genesis Friends for Life Foundation, a 501c3 introduced in 2023 in the U.S., and part of the Genesis Business Humanity family of companies today announced the launch of Genesis Friends for Life Israel, a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on aiding and supporting orphans, widows, children, and families most affected by the October 7th, and the ongoing war.
Genesis Friends for Life Israel will be providing relief services and care to children and families affected by the current conflict through numerous projects that seek to boost their immediate well-being, and continuously support them through adulthood. The Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation will be working in conjunction as both organizations seek to assist orphans, and swiftly begin to ramp up current programs on the ground.
“Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones and who are suffering, as we are guided by our faith, unity, and humanity to alleviate suffering and provide immediate resources through this crisis through the establishment of the Genesis Friends for Life Israel Foundation,” said Dr. Lior Aviman, co-founder and CEO. “With this foundation, we have the chance to raise awareness around how the war has impacted orphaned children and families in Israel, and to ensure they have access to resources delivered by caring volunteers on the ground, so they can set out on a path for a successful life of joy and promise.”
Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation’s mission is to identify, serve, follow, and continuously support the Genesis family of orphans into their adulthood; this is an innovation that will make a tremendous difference in every orphan’s life, including finding career opportunities in the Israeli tech sector – from internships to high-paying jobs.
The Doron Grant for Life provides orphans with a path where orphanhood does not constitute an obstacle in any way, to the realization of their full personal, educational, and occupational potential.
“Our belief includes, first and foremost, assistance to the weak, whether it be financial, emotional and academic support, and assistance for every child who needs it,” said Liron Herskovitz, founder and CEO of Republic Consulting, a top firm in Israel which has conducted a comprehensive study of the status of orphans following the attacks, and a contributor to the development of the platform. “With this program, we seek to allow these children social leadership and an exit from the circles of difficulty and distress, while imparting an education with a clear occupational horizon, a connection to the world of employment through an extensive social network and connections and key people to whom we are connected through friendship or work within Genesis.”
The initial and ongoing attacks upon Israel have greatly affected all its citizens and families, but children who now have no one to turn to are being impacted the most. Prior to the conflict, there were already 10,000 Israeli orphans, with an average of 120 adoptions a year. However, since the war has started, there are approximately 700 new Israeli orphans, with over 1,400 people in total have been killed during the massacre, and close to another 9,000 being seriously injured in some form, leading to a substantial increase that has overwhelmed the Israeli Ministry of Welfare.
The new Genesis Friends for Life Israel includes an expansive list of distinguished board members who are determined to alleviate the toll combat has taken on Israeli children. This includes Ranny Yarom, the co-founder and CEO of Genesis Business Humanity based in Israel who sports over 20 years of IDFA experience, Amiel Aviman, co-Founder and Managing Partner at Genesis Business Humanity with over 30 years entrepreneurial experience, and Eli Dalfin, the COO of Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation.
“We must always stand up for Israel,” said Ranny Yarom, who is also co-founder and Managing Director of Genesis Group, and the leader of all activities on the business and humanitarian fronts in Israel. “As a father, I feel deeply honored to be able to be able to organize and army of highly respected business visionaries, government leaders, academics, and volunteers with boots on the ground here. Each of these orphan’s lives is precious and their potential unlimited when they have our support. They will be the future changemakers in Israel and globally, and from their trauma will come greatness and grace.”
“We must do all we can to support these young lives, and to become their families for life,” said Amiel Aviman, co-founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesis Group, and Genesis Friends for Life Global Foundation. “With the support of the Members of the Genesis Business Humanity Club, and with others who have joined us in building Friends for Life in the U.S. and Israel, we are able to make a lasting difference as we are committing in full force to ensuring these orphans have all they need to live safe, happy, and productive lives.”
“For nearly twenty years, our group of friends and network of business colleagues have been supporting orphans in Israel through Simcha Connection, ensuring those young people have access to education, religious education, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs and more,” said Eli Dalfin, who also founded the partner organization in Miami and has grown it for two decades. “The horrific terrorism that occurred on October 7th sends a strong signal to the world that Israel and Israeli’s are living with an existential threat, and that we all must do what we can to ensure the children and families impacted by violence have what the need to heal and move forward in love and strength. We invite all of those who share our compassion and passion for this mission to donate so we can fulfill on our promise as Friends for Life to ensure good lives for every orphan we embrace.”
“Together, with the support of our friends in America and around the world, the Genesis Friends for Life Israel team, will make a significant, sustainable, and powerful difference in the lives of orphans,” said Arie Munk of Bayit Cham, another NGO in Israel which is partnering with Friends for Life. “Bayit Cham is honored to work with Friends for Life to provide the best mental health support. In Israel and throughout the world, many go through difficult periods in their lives or various experiences that lead to mental health issues. The battle that is hard to cope with as it is becomes impossible when the person is struggling on his or her own. As pioneers in the field of mental health rehabilitation in Israel, we operate an especially broad array of services that includes therapeutic and rehabilitation services, guidance and support, vocational training, and employment for those struggling with mental health challenges and for their families, including the Israeli Orphans who will now have access to The Doron Grant for Life program and more. It is an honor to be part of this major initiative.”
